Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze is visiting Hungary

🇬🇪🇭🇺 Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze is visiting Hungary.
🔹Minister Burchuladze was hosted by his Hungarian counterpart Minister Tibor Benko.
🔹Security issues and ways to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of defence were discussed by the parties. It was noted, that the high-level visits over the past two years are a clear example of deepening ties between the defence institutions of the two countries.
🔹Minister Burchuladze thanked the Hungarian side for its unwavering support and practical assistance to Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
🔹Minister Burchuladze briefed his Hungarian counterpart on the ongoing reforms in the Ministry of Defence, aimed at strengthening the country's defence capabilities and increasing compatibility with NATO standards.
🔹The Ministers also discussed the assistance provided by Hungary in the process of implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) and cooperation in the field of military education.
🔹The members of the Georgian delegation visited the Heroes' Square, where they laid a wreath at the memorial of the fallen heroes.
🔹Within the frames of the visit Minister Juansher Burchuladze and Minister Tibor Benko opened the "2021 Hungarian Resilience and Resistance Conference".
🔹Minister of Defence of Georgia will also visit the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine, based in Budapest, where a MoU will be signed.
🔹Meeting with the Commander of the US Special Operations Forces, General Richard Clark, is planned within the framework of the visit.
